Bee Pollen

Bee Pollen is considered a super food because it contains all the nutrients needed for life.  Nature's richest source of protein, amino acids, vitamins, minerals, catalytic enzymes or co-enzymes, fatty acids and carbohydrates.  Bee pollen is extremely rich in carotenes.  A popular supplement for athletes and sports enthusiasts around the world.

Main Components: Protein 21.2 %, Carbohydrates 48.5 %, Fatty acids 9.9 %, Ash 3.5 %, Fiber 14.2 %  (Percentages are an average and vary greatly depending on the area of collection and time of year)

Pollen carries the male spores of flowers. It is fine, powdery and sticky. Pollen comes in many colours. The bees gather it from flowers, carry it in their pollen baskets and store it in combs in the hive for food. Pollen is the colony’s only source of protein, as honeybees require incredible amounts of energy to be able to fly on the average at 15 miles per hour, visit as many as 100 flowers in one flight from the hive, and they may fly as far as 3km from the hive to find pollen, nectar and water.
